What We Have Been Doing Lately
APTG concluded our second course this year with Blue Line Tracking, LLC in Frederick County, Virginia October 4-6th. We had eighteen in attendance. This course was unique in that we used a commercial industrial park for the majority of the class to allow the students an opportunity for scenario training which closely replicated an actual event in the same area.
The students found the various and changing ground cover challenging yet also rewarding to work through. Four agencies from Northern Virginia were represented in the twenty-four hour course.
In September we were honored to have a opportunity to train the Highland County Sheriff's Office with a twenty-four hour course. The training location was a beautiful piece of property complete with a visiting black bear. It rained for the majority of the class which allowed the students the educational opportunity that tracking is still effective even during the rain.
We want to thank the HCSO for their kindness and hospitality. We would also like to recognize new HCSO Deputy Chad Lightner.
Thank you for visiting with us today.
